As of this letter, the Stellantis group is doing all they can do to try to get back in the shows for 2025.
Why? Because they know they work! The Ford Ad Group has said they will not participate again in
2025, but Ford sent out a letter to dealers committing to doing a $50 test drive incentive for Auto
Shows. This is a quote from Ford in that letter sent to dealers on September 16th, “Our goal is to gen-
erate thousands of visits to our dealer’s showrooms.” Ford knows that auto show work. Unfortunately,
our dealers will miss out on the promotion. We have recently spoken with a manufacturer who has
been out of shows for several years requesting a proposal for space, because their best years were
when they were in shows.
As fun as it is getting tickets to suites, games, and shows from the ad companies
for you buying “impressions,” isn’t it more important getting real impressions
form real customers that have made the effort to seek you out!
The show is a self-fulfilling deal, the more manufacturer lines that are represented, the more people
that will come, thus the more people that will come, the more lines will be there. The old saying, “A
rising tide, floats all ships” is very true. The lines that don’t participate still get benefit from the show
going on and the publicity it generates. Do your part and get your group to participate.
Atlanta recently passed D.C. and Philadelphia and is now the 6th largest metro market in the U.S.
and is the premier city of the south. Atlanta will play host to NCCAA Football Playoffs and will host
the National Championship. Previously hosted Olympics, Super Bowls, World Series, will host the up-
coming World Cup Soccer, and host the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. You deserve a truly world-class Auto
Show!
We will be happy to meet with your group, although I know we will not be very
popular with the Ad Groups that host the meetings. If you and a group of fel-
low dealers would like to look into you doing an exhibit like the Ford, Lincoln,
and Stellantis dealers did last year, we would love to talk to you as well. Also,
we are in conversations with several other lines to add them to the show.
The show is a huge opportunity that you don’t need to miss. A lot of people will try to convince you
the shows don’t work, the only ones they have not convinced, are the consumers.
